Can You Texture Over Wallpaper Glue

We definitely agree that this can be a tedious part of the job but this part can not be overlooked when removing your wallpaper.

Can you texture over wallpaper glue. Use a wet medium grit sanding block to remove some of the glue grime and residue that has built up. Now before you topcoat you will have to remove all the failing paint. Wash the walls using a hot water and soap solution to soften any remaining glue. Dif gel does work but it s pretty sloppy.

Do not moisten the walls until damp but lightly scrub the areas. You simply cannot go over the top of paint that is peeling or not adhering well. It is not just an ordinary primer. The glue that was left on the wall was a bit more work.
